Kinley Gibson
Kinley Gibson has had a lifelong passion for sport. Growing up, she participated in everything from basketball to volleyball to horse riding, but discovered cycling through triathlon racing. After several years as a triathlete, Kinley joined the Lori-Ann Muenzer Program, which served as her introduction to track cycling. She instantly fell in love with the sport, and eventually became AVRA’s first athlete under coach Cameron Jennings.
Kinley quickly found success as a junior on the track and road, competing at Junior Road Worlds and winning a silver medal at Junior Track Worlds. She was a national track team athlete from 2014 to 2020, and raced on the road for Red Truck Racing and The Cyclery Racing. In her career she attained multiple national championships, numerous World Cup podium placings, and competed in the 2018 Commonwealth Games for Canada. Her experience at the highest level of sport taught her the importance of teamwork, selflessness, and perseverance in the pursuit of excellence.
Kinley stepped away from the national team in 2020 and transitioned into her role as a cycling coach and personal trainer with AVRA. She is an ACE-certified trainer and a Cycling Canada certified NCCP Competition Development Coach. Kinley works with cyclists of any age who have performance-specific goals, and loves the problem-solving, creativity, and human connection that is the foundation of any great program.
